Summary, etc "This is a story about more than one generation of the Tucker family with the common bond of hunting and the outdoors. The Tuckers and the Jamiesons were hunting families, both had been used to living off the land. Phil Tucker had a passion for hunting, his work as a woodsman and later deer culler and Forest Ranger took him to different parts of the country. One location was Galatea where he became acquainted with the Jamieson family. Mick Jamieson was not only a keen hunter but had rather an attractive daughter, Barbara, who was also interested in hunting. Mick became a hunting partner and Barbara eventually became Phil's wife. Phil and Barbara, not only hunted together they also introduced their children to outdoor sports, with son Aaron continuing the family tradition becoming a very successful hunter himself. And now his daughters are following in his footsteps, Mikayla to become a hunter herself, whilst Andrea simply loves the outdoors, running and cycling. Phil and Barbara are both accomplished distance runners, Barbara particularly at the marathon distance, and both love music, writing and poetry. This is an engaging book with hunting trips throughout New Zealand and even an excursion to Australia, as the Tucker family enjoys the great outdoors." --Back cover.
