Christian's trials begin soon after he embarks on the trip back to New Zealand, and increase when he and his flock find themselves abandoned hundreds of miles from their destination. Aided by his three faithful dogs, Christian sets off for home, and his resulting adventures make an unforgettable tale of skill and determination in the face of enormous odds.
